Counter-Strike: Team64.AMD parts ways with the CS team

After some disappointing results in EPS, Team64.AMD has decided to part ways with its Counter-Strike team.
The 14-16 defeat last Sunday by ID-Gaming marked the end of an era for the German organization Team64.AMD. After some disappointing results throughout the whole season, 64.AMD finished the current German ESL Pro Series (EPS) in the 12th place with only 18 points.

According to the official announcement, the team's latest results and the lack of motivation were crucial for this decision. Michael Feike, 64.AMD's manager, said: "The team didn't play constantly, and that was not our goal. I would like thank our old cs team and wish them good luck in the future". Regarding the future of 64.AMD's Counter-Strike team, Michael explained that "everything will be revealed in the upcoming weeks."

As for the Counter-Strike players that left the German based team, Feike said that Nils "bara" Waldowski has already found a new team, while Boris "hack" Thies and Dennis "neon" Kroh are still looking for a new home to embrace them. Regarding the remaining players, Michael explained that he does not know "if they will continue playing Counter-Strike."

It is still unclear whether or not players like Michael "neo" Mitrega, former member of mousesports, will continue playing Counter-Strike on a competitive level. Mitrega left mouz on the first days of 2006 when the German organisation decided to recruit Ola "elemeNt" Moum and Martin "fleks" Wehrmann. He established himself as a key member in Team64.AMD during GameStar Liga finals, helping his team beat mousesports on the Upper Bracket finals, failing, however, to repeat this achievement during the Grand Final.

Team64.AMD consisted of the following players:

Germany Oliver "sabotaGe" Janev
Germany Daniel "chief" Leichtle
Germany Nils "bara" Waldowski
Germany Dennis "neon" Kroh
Germany Michael "neo" Mitrega
Germany Boris "hack" Thies
Germany Stefan "monsta" Heb (inactive)
