Counter-Strike: WSVG Dreamhack CS Day Three Melee

By: Philip - Published June 18, 2006 at 9:44 PM EDT - Writer Archive
The second event of the World Series of Video Games wraps up today in Jonkoping, Sweden.
Sweden (GotFrag) - This is it, the final day of competition at Dreamhack in Jonkoping, Sweden. After two days of matches, the Ninjas in Pyjamas and fnatic sit in the Upper Bracket Finals with a berth in the Grand Finals on the line. The event has seen some surprising matches and upsets with none other than the extremely early exit of former #1 team in the World, SK Gaming.

Currently five teams still stand in the Lower Bracket and will be fighting to stay alive in the tournament. Catch Gamer will face off against Check Six to start off the day with the winner going up against Aftermath, who have been playing very well all tournament long. Made in Brazil, after a convincing victory over Serious Gaming, will take on ALTERNATE aTTaX in the fourth Lower Bracket round.

GotFrag will be your home of full coverage of both Lanwar and Dreamhack this weekend so make sure you stay locked to us. Also, do not forget to set your Personal Timezone to find out exactly when the matches will be played in your area so you do not miss any of the action. Tournament brackets can be viewed on the last page.

#34 has a point, but then again, many teams still have a lot to prove...wNv still has to show it can play outside of China, as do many of the Asian teams...the most consistent teams have been from Europe, bar coL from the US...3D always falls at LAN but now might be on track to shine...but the competition in Europe (mainly Sweden) is unrivalled...

one lan, on swedish ground, with mostly swedish teams attending. nuff said.

but props to x6, they really had to win a lot to get into the top3. unlike nip and fnatic, who only played _TWO_ matches so far.
