Janne "Kuppi" Kuparinen is now inactive, being replaced by Ilkka "barrack" Mäkinen. Janne "Kuppi" Kuparinen had been in the team for the past 18 months and decided to be inactive because of his military service, which will last for a period no less than six months. "We knew for over a year that Kuppi would go inactive because of his upcoming military service, it's always a loss for your team when a player of his caliber leaves/goes inactive," said Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen, Serious Gaming's player. In order to replace Kuparinen, Serious Gaming decided to move Ilkka "barrack" Mäkinen, who had been inactive for almost half a year due to World of Warcraft, to the active roster once again. "Luckily for us, barrack wanted to start playing again so we didn't need to recruit a new player. However, because barrack had a break from competition, it's probably going to take a while until we get our chemistry and teamplay together. Although Kuppi's inactivity is a great loss for Serious Gaming, I really look forward to play with barrack again because playing with him is a lot of fun," Kovanen said. With this being said, Serious Gaming's roster is as follows: Ilkka "barrack" Mäkinen Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen Niko "naSu" Kovanen Antti "Shiri" Mäkinen Toni "toNppa" LuhtapuroYou will have the chance to see this new lineup in the remaining NGL one's matches, which will put Serious Gaming against mouz, fnatic and x6tence. dude, tomi, are you SERIOUS? kekekekeke^_^
Lurrpis, go wright some news on gotfrag!!
After that we attended shgOpen 2006, and then NetGamez 2006A (with same line-up: Kuppi myself naSu Shiri toNppa), then we had a ringer for toNppa at ESWC Qualifier because toNppa had already planned his 3 week vacation months before even joining our team - Can't really do anything about it, just bad luck with timing.
Next was WSVG Sweden... This time Kuppi was on vacation and Shiri didn't want to go with two new players (at the time we had no idea naSu would be allowed to play), and it took well over a month for the organisation to answer whether or not naSu was allowed to play, and they replied _3_ days before the event.
The difference between us and other teams is simply that when other teams can't fill their regular five, they stay home, while we usually still go with a stand-in. Also, most of the reasons aren't something our players can control, such as Kuppi going inactive now because of military service.
#31 Probably and hopefully, but he's going to have to serve his time first :p
