Counter-Strike: USA back on top of the World Rankings, barely

With mibr's loss after winning ESWC, only the ISC winner remained but that didn't stop fnatic from at least making it interesting.

The top team from Europe, fnatic, and the USA, coL, did battle for the top spot in the World Ranking but it came down to a few third place spots on some pollster’s charts to decide that coL was on top. Those few final decisions made this one of the closes votes ever as both finished with exactly the same number of first place votes, 13. Below, NiP edged out wNv.gm and 3D held off Lunatic on the back of a strong ESWC victory over them. Mibr came in 7th with the loss of their star Cogu playing a huge role in their drop in ranking. Hacker.PK who was 4th couldn’t beat Lunatic to advance to ESWC and drops all the way to 8th because of it.

Complexity and Team 3D continue their one, two position atop the NA Ranking but EG wasn’t able to hold up at 3rd. After a poor ISC they fell behind a host of other top teams including surprise Check-Six USA which performed above most expectations. Also Pandemic moved up three spots continuing to climb on the back of a 2nd place LANWAR and 3rd place CEVO finish.

With fnatic and NiP a step above everyone the European Ranking was pretty well set at the top. 4Kings’ improved play earned them a serious bump up the rankings while x6tence’s recent win at Gamegune gave them more support. Mouz continues to sit right at the top five while SK.swe continues to fall, voters don’t seem to like their recent moves. Virtus.Pro’s poor showing at ESWC dropped them behind Speedlink who had a solid ISC.
