Counter-Strike: HeatheN's Happenings: kode5.swe Finals

By: Drew Johnson - Published August 12, 2006 at 9:35 AM EDT - Writer Archive
HeatheN goes inside the game to break down the Counter Strike finals of Kode5 Sweden 2006.

Any event that has at least four or five Swedish Counter-Strike teams is almost inherently entertaining. Kode5 Sweden played host to Fnatic, NiP, mYm, SpeedLink, and Chillside Gaming, among others; an impressive team list that boasts top-tier talent.

The tournament chose group play to eliminate the lesser teams, which fed into a 4-team final bracket. After Fnatic beat mYm and SpeedLink took down NiP in the semi-finals, the two finalists met in a best of 3 format, with de_nuke, de_train, and de_dust2 (tiebreaker) chosen as the maps.
