Casey breaks down coL's CPL_Mill performance at CAL Razer Extreme 2005. ![]() As the saying goes, "Success is when opportunity meets preparation." CompLexity demonstrates an uncanny knowledge of their opponent's weaknesses through constant pressure and readiness. Typified by a highly balanced, reactionary offense, compLexity runs a single offensive strategy--modified in innumerable ways--that allows them to seize opportunities created by their individual skill. Where other teams play hard and fast or slow and methodical, compLexity is formless, constantly moving with 'hive mind' cohesion. Because of this, coL does not fit neatly into any category of style. Adjusting on the fly and not bound to any predetermined attack-point, compLexity's strategies allow them more freedom to rise to their individual potentials. On defense, they are unpredictable: either characterized by aggressive play or unexpected passivity, compLexity always seems to have the perfect counter-stance to their opponent's offense. A calm setup in some instances allows them to box in their opponents and retake a particular site from severely weakened players. On other rounds, aggressive play catches the offense off-guard and destroys their momentum. Combined, these types of play allow for a well-rounded, highly effective defense.
