The GotSkills awards return with a recap of the Week 4 action from CEVO Professional. Find out who did the best and the worst for the week.

Just six of the ten matches have been played so far in the fourth week of CEVO professional. The big match between 3D and coL highlighted the week full of reschedules, and coL was able to move up to be neck and neck with 3D for the top spot in the standings. For an in-depth look at the match, see the recap here. Pandemic, rSports, and United 5 each got their fourth win of the season to fill up the third through fifth spots, while EG and wcR have been struggling to pull out a win.

Top 3 Performances of the Week

1. Danny "fRoD" Montaner (coL) - In the biggest match of the week, fRoD was absolutely critical to coL's success against a tough 3D team. His frag total equaled Warden and tr1p's combined amount, his DAR was 30 points more than the second highest on the team, and he was the only one to add an ace to the box score. The stats speak for themselves; fRoD is one of the best at what he does.

2. Chad "daffsta" White (Pandemic) - Although Pandemic wiped wcR off the floor in Week 4.2, daffsta's individual performance was quite the show and worthy to be noted. A monstrous 36 frags gave him an FPR of 1.200 lead all players for the week, and when a player does that well you know he was feeling it that night.

3. Michael "method" So (3D) - His team lost the match, but method's play was what kept them in the game at all. A big thirty frags along with a DAR of 106.8 picked up the slack as his teammate moto could only manage to grab eight frags the entire match. Method also led all players in 4K rounds with two.

Surprise of the Week

coL over 3D - This match between the two North American powerhouses was the closest thing to a surprise for the week as coL's victory was the only one over a team higher than them in the standings at the time. Following 3D's WCG USA title, many predicted 3D to take this match and maintain their undefeated record, but coL would have none of that as they allowed 3D to lead in the match for only one round. The match was secured with a 16 to 12 score.

Stock Rising

compLexity - Unable to advance out of group play at the WCG USA qualifier, coL came home to play against Pandemic for CEVO. The match came down to the wire, but coL was unable to pull out the win in the end and coL was handed their first loss of the season. The last time coL lost three consecutive matches was back in October of 2005, and coL would not let that happen again. The team came surging back, winning four straight matches with a win over 3D to top it off. Complexity looks to stay on this roll and certainly is capable of doing so.

Stock Falling

Team EG - After starting off on the right foot by winning both matches in Week 1 against wcR and Aggression, the evil geniuses ran into a string of tough opponents, namely JMC, coL, and u5. The team's play quickly turned around in the wrong direction, leading to losses in the last five matches. What started as a promising season will not get any easier with Week 5, where EG will take on the red-hot Team 3D. However, the team is scheduled to face the currently win-less West Coast Rockers again for the latter part of the week, which could provide for a turning point.
