Qpad has been running a 1 v 1 Counter-Strike tournament over the last couple of months and it culminates today with their grand finals. Some of the world's top Counter-Strike players will be competing for their share of 7,000 Euro at the LAN Finals of the Qtour. The format is Best of 3 single elimination. The player to reach 20 frags first wins the map and must win 2 maps to move on to the next round. The players will compete on a custom map made for this tournament. You can get the map here. All matches can be watched via HLTV at the following address gf1.hltv.nuclearfallout.net:27020 More information on the event can be found on the QPAD Website here. The finals have completed and relatively unknown Swedish player Luddeluff has won the tournament in convincing fashion. He had about as difficult a road to the finals as he could have and managed to win one match at a time. He began with Kixer, moved to Quick, then to Vilden and completed the road with Spawn. He was been crowned the 2006 Qtour Champion. 1st Place - luddeluff 15000 SEK (~$2200 USD) + Sponsored Gaming Gear2nd Place - Abdisamad ”SpawN” Mohamed 5000 SEK (~$700 USD) + Sponsored Gaming Gear3rd Place - Fredrik ”Jaegarn” Andersson Sponsored Gaming GearFinals
