Chengdu will play host to their second Counter-Strike event as the CPL invades China. The city was home to the China event for the World Series of Video Games and has proven to be a great location for a tournament. Many of the top talents from the country are present and will be looking to take the top spot and a berth to the now full CPL Championship Finals.

Teams in attendance include wNv China, Newlife, Star.ex, Hacker Gaming, Goldtel, SP and TR. This is not all as many other teams are hoping for a shot at the title. However, one of the biggest absences from this tournament is the former World number one, wNv Gaming. After a roster shuffle earlier this month, the GM division of wNv lost three members to their CN squad.

wNv.cn and Hacker Gaming will both been in the United States a week before the CPL to compete in the WSVG Grand Finals. Hacker has signed up for the CPL Winter event already, meaning they are confirmed to attend. wNv, however, has not signed up and will be relying on a victory this weekend in order to attend.

y is there two hacker teams? i havent read the full cpl rules, but based from waht i know the reason they dont allow two teams is so a tournament isnt stacked. Yet 2 hacker teams has stacked the tourny :S

maybe its only a rule for the cpl final, but i would naturally assume that the qualifiers would use the same rules as the final
