Dying Breed

>

Rise of Legends

(145-75)

stilz: Well to start off, none of us were in the mood to play, because of the stuff going on with Pb. So at the start of the match none of us had our heads in the game. We had Flux sniping in place of Pb, despite him doing a good job, it just wasn't the same. So as a result of this, rL was able to cap on us in the first five minutes of the game. It took the shock of that to bring us back into the game and begin to want to play. We basically controlled the map for the rest of the game. It was a good game, but playing on Donner, we camped and played gay a lot more than we normally do and with Pb gone, it wasn't as much fun as it could have been. We will be dedicating the rest of the playoffs to him.

Rugburn

Nihilist

(65-58)

jeff: Basically, both teams had a hold middle and camp strategy. So on the whole; it was a battle of the snipers. With us winning the first half by one point, and the second by six, it was a very close match. The thing that gave us the edge was definitely our sniper, Russian; he allowed Punisher to move up and beast three guys to get their second which gave us those points. GG to Nihilist and good luck in the future.

deadboLT

(300-17)

luk: We practiced all hard and shit to find deadbolt using random classes and grease guns. It was pretty funny but overall the biggest waste of 40 minutes ever. We controlled the map at all times then just started to try and prone at there first rather then cap out. I'm sure the match was entertaining so GG. There really isn't any more to say.

Kickin A$$ Nightly

(133-18)

Talon: I was able to talk to jbrown briefly, but he had to leave, so I was not able to get a summary from him. I am sure though that this match wasn't very interesting for dNc, Judging by the score, I am guessing KAN did a lot of camping of their last flags, with dNc pushing a lot from the slab and ruins. My guess is that dNc was able to control bunker for the whole game, and their sniper probably did a good job of locking down middle. Overall, look for dNc to be on a roll for the rest of the playoffs.

vEx

>

Monkeys, Migets and Zombies

(132-24)

Talon: Again, I was able to briefly talk with some one from vex, but was unable to get a full summary of their match. Having played against both teams in scrims, I am sure that Agent and Dye held bunker for most of the match. Ace probably set up a tent in Suze and at Slab. I can't imagine MMZ doing much against the rifle squad of vEx. vEx most likely held bunker and middle for most of the match, with MMZ doing a lot of camping around their first and second flags.

Brave Little Toasters

(70-102)

XprivateX: We went into the match knowing we needed to win it. Nexus was a strong team and we knew we had to play hard. Our initial as allies went really well, controlling the bunker and demolishing their middle rush. We held bunker for most the match, but the middle went back and fourth. Finally in the last 4 minutes they took bunker and we sent 5 mid. I went back alley and managed to get their first while the rest pushed up and got the second flag. Axis half though was a catastrophe and nexus controlled the middle for the majority of the time. We went into the mentality of "don't let them cap" and so we all played campy and fought at our second and slab most the second half. They didn't manage to cap, even though they came close, and we won.

General Infantry

(143-54)

explodey: 1st half we were axis. They came out strong on the rush, killing our entire team and getting to our 2nd flag in the first 2 minutes, and getting a huge lead (about 13-0) in the first 5 minutes. After that we slowed it down, and wiped out their team and were able to get to the middle and camp the tank. After that we maintained control of the map until we capped out on them about 10 minutes into the first half we won the ensuing initial rush and held the middle for most of the rest of the half. 2nd half, we won the initial rush and capped out on them in 2 minutes. They won the next initial rush and managed to get us back to our spawns, but we fought back to the middle and we sort of traded off control of the map for the rest of the match.

Pineriders

<

That's a Paddlin'

(57-160)

scangus: After finding out that we were playing pineriders (now washedup) for our first round of intermediate playoffs, we decided that we had better practice because we knew that they were skilled and could've beaten us had they put in enough practice. So we were amply prepared for the match on the day of the game and had our teamwork down but about 10 minutes before the greatest random running rambo in the world (a.k.a. Mission) called us and said his power went out. Extreme skills (a.k.a. tektonik) took his place and did well. First half middle flag of the map went back and forth between our teams and pineriders had very good nades to keep pushing us back. We edged them out by only one point first half but we were determined to do better on our allies half. We full capped quickly second half by taking out two waves of pineriders and then did the same thing over again off the next spawn. From that point on pineriders made sure that we did not make it far past mid and attempted to come back for the win. We played defensively and kept them from pushing too far past middle most of the time but they held the middle flag well and accumulated 30 more points to end the game.
