Counter-Strike: silver, Tixo leave mTw

By: Luis Mira - Published December 09, 2006 at 8:52 AM EST - Writer Archive
MTw has just confirmed the departures of Tim "silver" Hochgrebe and Manuel "Tixo" Makohl.
Both players had joined mTw in August, following an internal quarrel within the ALTERNATE aTTaX team, which tore it apart. From all the offers they had, Tim "silver" Hochgrebe revealed that mTw's was the most promising of them all and that, in his opinion, this team could rise above all the other others.

However, the EPS season didn't go that well. The team finished in eight place, well beyond the qualifying for the playoffs. Hochgrebe didn't hide his frustration one month ago, when he confessed to find the team's EPS season "pretty frustrating."

Hochgrebe told GotFrag.com that, since he didn't have any agreement for 2007, Manuel "Tixo" Makohl and him would most likely leave the team if the results didn't improve, which they didn't. Markus "botman" Frey, staff member in mTw, even stated that both players engaged in talks with other teams during the season, something that did not please the board.

"This continuity is really hard to find in the eSports business. But we want to try it, we are really interested in a continued existence. So mTw has no space for players who searched for other teams during a season. We wish Manuel and Tim lots of fun in Berlin!"

It is still unknown where these two players will go, but there have been ongoing rumours sugesting a move to mousesports, something that is yet to be confirmed.

This being said, mTw's roster is as follows:

Germany Hannes "hYde" Schurer
Germany Alexander "XaVe" Ackenhausen
Germany Jérôme "shiddy" Tóth
Germany Mac-Claen "macman" Tóth (backup)
