Counter-Strike: Brooks` WEG2005 Season 2 Semi-Finals Melee

We are now down to the nitty-gritty with only four teams remaining in WEG. Each team has proven themselves throughout the three weeks all the teams have been here. With a best of three format, the better team will definitely prevail here. The maps being played are: dust2, nuke, and train. Best of luck to all teams.

Why isn't the whole tournament best of three maps, not to keep teams like NoA from getting bounced early but wth are you putting up 16 teams for if you're not going to have them play?

#3 agreed. they go from having a really unfair system (mr12, 1 map and no playing out all the rounds) to a much more balanced best of 3 deal. wierd

because it's better this was #3. That is way too many extra games with the initial list. It's not weg's fault teams lose twice. Basically this tournament is double elimination in each stage. You lose twice, you go home. Much like any other tournament.

Seeing as it was element's birthday I'm reckoning the 4Kings guys were out the night before and had a few too many... If thats true then theyre idiots really.

elements birthday was the day before the game vs abit-strike and the semi-final vs catch-gamer was the day after the game vs abit-strike so they sure had time to rest of the alcohol.

4k didnt have time to prepare any kind of solid tactics before the event and its their first with element in there lineup, came up against a strong well drilled cg team who were in form, off the back of a late night game against abit not surprised they lost. #47 A team from britain have never won a cpl summer or winter championship... but considering the size of the american cs scene and the number of teams it has the performance against the euro's at large events is always poor, and it becomes even worse when they have to travel anywhere outside the us. 4k have the talent to win events like this, they just need to be better prepared next time

CG does not have a new roster, they have played with the same rooster for quite a while. the only change in catch ever is zevy > Slick Silver.

they got outplayed completely. Begrip looked very strong the entire match. Hopefully ill be able to get the demos so I can put up reviews of the Semi-Finals match
