Stuart Brooks is bringing us predictions of the semi-finals for the WEG. Four teams remain, who will win? Will it be AbitStrike, Begrip, Catch-Gamer, or the Four Kings?

4Kings versus Catch-Gamer

Both 4Kings and Catch-Gamer deserve to be in this match as they have outplayed every team they have faced so far in the second group stage. 4Kings played spectacularly against AbitStrike today to secure the top spot in their group. They looked just plain scary on Dust2, winning 13-5. 4K looked well-groomed in their matches on Dust2 and Train, but they haven't played an official match on Nuke yet this season of WEG. Catch-Gamer might be able to capitalize on 4K's lack of practice on Nuke, since Catch has only had one loss on Nuke in official matches. It will really come down to whoever can become hot and stay hot throughout the best of 3 format. I think 4K will just be too strong for Catch-Gamer as they are playing almost untouchable Counter-Strike right now.

4Kings > Catch-Gamer on de_dust2 13-7
4Kings > Catch-Gamer on de_nuke 13-10
4Kings > Catch-Gamer on de_train 13-8

Begrip versus AbitStrike

Begrip has been flawless so far in Season 2 of WEG. Begrip has only had one really close intense match, which was against Pentagram on Train. That will be the one map where AbitStrike can take advantage of Begrip and force a third map. AbitStrike looked very good against GamerCo on their best map, de_inferno, but they will be hard pressed in these Semi-Finals because Inferno will not be played. Abit had a hard time on Nuke on the defensive side against Astralis. Abit looked very good on T side, but couldn't get it locked down on CT side, so they will need to have fixed that if they want to stay in the game against a very strong Begrip team. If LaiXi can get his team started early, expect good things from Abit, but if robban or f0rest get hot like they have been doing lately, it's going to be hard for Abit to do anything. Begrip will move on to the finals.

Begrip > AbitStrike on de_dust2 13-9
Begrip > AbitStrike on de_nuke 13-8
AbitStrike > Begrip on de_train 13-9
