Kristoffer "Tentpole" Nordlund has confirmed that he is retiring after CPL Winter. Following a piece on rakaka.se that suggested heavy roster changes in Sweden's best teams after the CPL World Finals, Kristoffer "Tentpole" Nordlund, a player in fnatic, said the following on a Fragbite forum. "You don't have to worry about how bad I am either, I am quitting gaming at a high level this new year," Nordlund said. This decision came to public right after a third place in the WSVG 2006 CS Finals but it seems to have no relation with this tournament and with the CPL event that has just begun. ![]() Kristoffer "Tentpole" Nordlund Nordlund joined fnatic in January following a sensational time in Begrip Gaming's Swedish team, which achieved, among others, a first place in the second edition of the World Esports Games. It is still unknown who will replace him, but Fragbite confirmed that fnatic may be leading the chase for icsu's former member, Emil "Striker" Westerberg. Since the split up between Check-Six and the Swedish team, the European players decided to revive the ICSU name, which no success, though. Some weeks later, Louis "Red`" Nyberg joined 4Kings to fill the shoes of Marc Mangiacapra and no more news were heard from this team. Michel "speedi" Gewargis told GotFrag that the team engaged in talks with several organisations but things didn't work out. With the departure of Nordlund, fnatic's roster is as follows: Harley "dsn" Örwall Patrik "cArn" Sättermon Patrik "f0rest" lindberg Oscar "Archi" TorgersenSource: Fragbite.com |
