Dallas, Texas (GotFrag) - The CPL Counter-Strike tournament has been quite a story so far with numerous suprises and a plethora of intense and close matches. With the end of the second day comes the end of group play, and now the tournament moves to Single Elimination format. Each match will consist of a best of three maps to determine who will move on to the next round and one step closer to the coveted $30,000 first place prize. Winners of each group received the top eight seeds and the second place group finishes round out the bottom eight.

Group E brought about a three-way tie with 3D, coL, and zEx sitting at 1-2. There was a little bit of confusion, but the rules gave 3D the second spot due to them having the most rounds won. 3D will be taking on Hacker as they hope to pick up from their less than desirable performance in the first two days. SK has been looking very strong, cruising through all their matches so far. They face a project_kr team that will be looking to bounce back from their loss against Pentagram.

Speaking of the most recently #1 ranked team, Pentagram faces the Americans in Pandemic, who have a tough road ahead of them if they want to improve upon their 4th place finish at WSVG. MiBR has also been playing extremely well, eliminating NiP along the way, and they too face an American team in JMC.
