Corey "tr1p" Dodd and Garett "Grt" Bambrough have joined the Canadian Team EG.
Evil Geniuses announced yesterday the departure of Jimmy Lin, who had been with the team for a year and a half. Apparently, the results achieved in 2006 didn't please the team and they decided that the removal of Lin would be of both parties' best interests.

Garett "Grt" Bambrough, who had just left Pandemic, saw in the Canadian team the right chance to boost his career. He didn't hide his desire to play for EG, who he considers to be "Canada's best team."

"After CPL, I was approached by Alex to play for EG. After talking to Dolven about my hockey and the future of Pandemic we both decided it would be best to part ways. I then decided to join EG, which had always been my "goal" in Counter-Strike, since when first started. EG was my first choice of any team, since it’s what I always aimed for," Bambrough said.

Although Pandemic stated that a small internal conflict stopped them from renewing his contract, EG showed total confidence for Bambrough's talent, who was said to be "one of the country's and the continent's best". Still, Bambrough stated that the personalities in the Pandemic team may have clashed, which affected the team's perfomances despite the success that he had while playing for the team.

After a long stay in compLexity, Corey "tr1p" Dodd turns another page in his career by joining the Canadian based organization. He, who was the in-game leader of coL, will be the strategy caller for Evil Geniuses.

Although Evil Geniuses is known for having its roots on Canadian soil, Alex Garfield showed no problems whatsoever in bringing another American player, a situation that had already occurred when Erik “da bears” Stromberg was brought on board.

"We have never had any problems bringing Americans into our lineup. While EG's Counter-Strike team is traditionally known as Canadian, we view EG as an organization that also represents North America as a whole. So essentially, when considering who we wanted to pick up for our new lineup, we just wanted the best fit, regardless of nationality. When Corey became available, it was an easy choice," said Alex Garfied, owner of EG.

Moreover, the Canadian team announced today that Robert "blackpanther" Tyndale is currently inactive but will still keep his place in EG, this time in the management area, aiding Alex Garfield in operating the business aspects of the gaming team. However, he will return to the starting lineup by the time of the DirecTV Championship Gaming Series, but it is still unknown who he will replace.

This said, Evil Geniuses has now the following roster:

Canada Pasha "Red Dragon" Lari
Canada Matt "bl00dsh0t" Stevenson
Canada Garett "Grt" Bambrough
Canada Ian Royle
United States Corey "tr1p" Dodd
Canada Robert "blackpanther" Tyndale (inactive)
