Counter-Strike: aZn leaves zEx; roster back to six

Kevin “aZn” Wang has quit zEx following the team's addition of Josh “Dominator” Sievers.
Wang joined zEx back in March when he left h5m to join up with his former teammates from Check-Six. Since then he's been an integral part of the team and has helped zEx upset compLexity twice. Throughout 2006 his star continued to rise and he is now considered one of the US's top players. He leaves following a CPL Winter event where zEx upset compLexity but failed to make it past the second group stage. According to Wang, he received an offer he couldn't turn down and distanced himself from the team.

“Basically my leave for zEx was planned after the winter CPL event,” said Wang. “I had a offer that I just couldn't refuse. i told the zEx members about it and they all understood but i knew they were disappointed in me. Since then we haven't really talked much but I was told they were replacing me. I read a article on Gotfrag about Dominator joining up so I figured it was him.”

Following Siever's addition to zEx, the team's roster bulged to seven men. Wang believed that this addition was intended to fill his spot. He had been linked to a few different roster moves in this tumultuous period in American CS, but he leaves zEx without a team and no immediate plans for the future.

“The plans I had for leaving zEx also didn't work out the way it was supposed to,” said Wang. “Basically you can say I got the wrong end of what was actually supposed to happen. So as of right now I have no plans for this year and after I found out about Josh joining the team I figured I had no use for the team anymore. However, Josh is a great addition and I'm sure he'll play a big role for the team this year.”

Wang added that out of all the teams he has been a part of zEx has been his favorite because of “great teammates, great players, and most of all great friends.”

This leaves zEx with the following lineup:

United States Charlie "cbz" Pyo
United States Aran "i0nz" Curbelo
United States Anthony "m4gic" Coriale
United States Erik "da_bears" Stromberg
United States Josh “Dominator” Sievers
United States Thomas "idb" Grassi
