Counter-Strike: hoorai presents new team

By: Luis Mira - Published January 21, 2007 at 2:04 PM EST - Writer Archive
Hoorai has just confirmed the creation of a pure German roster.
After the loss of their Finnish Counter-Strike team, Hoorai decided to focus on the German market only, in order to guarantee the necessary stability for the project to achieve their goals. This said, Hoorai has acquired the EPS account formerly belonging to QPool, which placed 6th last season.

From the QPool team, only Reiko "reiko" Bergmann and Christoph "merg" Schlenker have joined Hoorai's new team. Jan "nookie" Höfling, a former member of Speed-Link, returns to full activity after a long period away from gaming. The last players to join Hoorai are Jérôme "shiddy" Tóth, former member of mTw, Dennis "neon" Kroh, former Team64.AMD player, and Yasin "y4sin" Kovanci, who played for SK Germany last season.

"The contact with hoorai had existed for a long time, but it was somewhat a coincidence how everything worked out. The team should have looked totally different at first, but now I am happy that it looks as it does now. Our goal is clearly defined: We want to do better than last season where QPool became 6th," Bergmann said.

Hoorai has also sealed a deal with the German company Levicom, who is known for being a longtime supporter of mousesports. Levicom is now Hoorai's head sponsor, a partnership that will provide better conditions to the German roster, which plans on attending the Danish LAN event called shgOpen.

This said, hoorai has now the following roster:

Germany Reiko "reiko" Bergmann
Germany Jan "nookie" Höfling
Germany Jérôme "shiddy" Tóth
Germany Dennis "neon" Kroh
Germany Yasin "y4sin" Kovanci
Germany Christoph "merg" Schlenker (backup)
