Counter-Strike: Global Gaming disbands

Firat Madon has just confirmed to GotFrag.com the closure of the Global Gaming team.
Despite its recent existence, the Swedish team was having difficulties in finding the necessary time to practice on a daily basis. Moreover, Caj "xAjo" Hedlund have been lacking his motivation for quite some time, reason why the Scandinavian roster announced today its demise.

"The main reasons behind the end of our team are xAjo's lack of motivation and the team's lack of time to practice, Rebel has football practices four times a week and FleddE is usually working until late," Firat Madon said.

This decision marks the end of the project that started in late August, when the European organisation announced the creation of a pure Scandinavian roster, which looked quite promising, specially when the current Ninjas in Pyjamas' player, Øyvind "KunFigur3" Magnestad, decided to join.

After the loss of all the Norwegian players, Global Gaming eventually decided to recreate the former Lehnitz team, thus having a five-man roster composed by Swedish players only. Although this team failed to succeed, Madon confessed to be satisfied with the time spent in Global Gaming.

"Even if none of the teams made any good results, I had a lot of fun during the time and made some money on the LAN events we attended. It is too bad we had these bad practice possibilities because that is what "killed" the team. After all, I think I have (on a personal level) developed a lot as a player during my time in Global Gaming," Madon added.

The team will continue its presence in the Powerdeff League, where it is currently second, behind the German giant a-Losers.

Madon and his team mate Joel "deffe" Hedin will attend some LAN tournaments in Norway with Global Gaming's original lineup but he stressed that it is just a mix team. Still, both players want to continue playing on a professional level and are already scouring the market for a new project.

"I haven't got an offer that is interesting enough yet but I hope that deffe and I will find a good team to play with as soon as possible, since we are living together and still want to play Counter-Strike on a serious level," Madon said.

Regarding the future of the other players, Madon stated not to know how their plans look like but added that he thinks that "no one will get a new team in the near future."

Global Gaming's roster was as follows:

Sweden Joel "deffe" Hedin
Sweden Firat Madon
Sweden Fredrik "FleddE" Noppa
Sweden Simon "Rebel" Sandin
Sweden Caj "xAjo" Hedlund
