The Dutch team Praetoriani have added Birgir “spike” Águstsson, who will replace the inactive Sergio "SERGiO" Parounakian in their roster.
Parounakian has decided to take a break from competitive gaming due to wanting to spend more time with his girlfriend and think about his plans for the future. He will remain in Praetoriani as the squad's backup player.

In order to replace Parounakian, Praetoriani recruited Birgir “spike” Águstsson who, with his Icelandic team Seven, placed fourth at the British WSVG stop.

Águstsson had been teamless since the demise of Seven in early January. He confessed his admiration for the players in Praetoriani and revealed that he had been waiting for an offer like this for a long time, in a statement on Prae's webpage.

"I was thrilled to receive the invite to join Praetoriani," Águstsson said. "To play alongside players of this caliber and dedication is something that I have wanted for my entire career and that is a huge part in my decision in joining up with Praetoriani."

The team will now start an intense practice regime for the shgOpen event, which Águstsson hopes will be the team's first successful tournament. This said, Praetoriani now has the following roster:

Netherlands Dennis “muh” van Maurik
Netherlands Ferdi “xire” Senel
United Kingdom Marc Mangiacapra
United Kingdom Stuart Harriman
Iceland Birgir “spike” Águstsson
Netherlands Sergio “SERGiO” Parounakian
