The 2007 edition of the Samsung Euro Championship is about to start. As usual, it will be taking place during the CeBIT trade show in Hanover, Germany, and will run from March 15th through the 18th.

The Counter-Strike tournament is expected to start at 14.30 CET, although the main teams such as mousesports, SK Gaming, or last year's winner, x6tence, have been granted with the move to the second round.

Mousesports will participate in this tournament with a stand-in, the current a-Losers' talent, Roman "Roman R." Reinhardt, due to Franz "gore" Burghardt being a foreign player, who will still attend the event with the n!faculty squad.

Although the map distribution for this tournament is still unknown, only four maps were selected by the committee: de_dust2, de_train, de_inferno and de_nuke.

The 2007 edition of the Samsung Euro Championship will use a double elimination system, with the Grand Final using a best-of-three system.
