The 2007 edition of the Samsung Euro Championship is about to start. As usual, it will be taking place during the CeBIT trade show in Hanover, Germany, and will run from March 15th through the 18th.

The Counter-Strike tournament is expected to start at 14.30 CET, although the main teams such as mousesports, SK Gaming, or last year's winner, x6tence, have been granted with the move to the second round.

Mousesports will participate in this tournament with a stand-in, the current a-Losers' talent, Roman "Roman R." Reinhardt, due to Franz "gore" Burghardt being a foreign player, who will still attend the event with the n!faculty squad.

Although the map distribution for this tournament is still unknown, only four maps were selected by the committee: de_dust2, de_train, de_inferno and de_nuke.

The 2007 edition of the Samsung Euro Championship will use a double elimination system, with the Grand Final using a best-of-three system.

omg this is gonna be HEAVY!

#22 c'mon, you should've heard at least some of those teams names (if you've followed wcg in the past). just look at TEG for example, feels like they've been representing romania since wcg 1987 with pretty much the same lineup again and again, and tbh that's just wow! for a cs-team ^^

#22 then you don't know anything, some of those teams have played in major international events before, and yeah #28 is right TeG really played as our represetative in most events where qualifiers where held, and even got 4'th at WCG 2003.

Although they did have lineup change #28, SeDaN is part of teg only for a couple of months.
