GotFrag sits down with Øyvind "KF3" Magnestad, former member of Ninjas in Pyjamas. However, NiP decided to part ways with Magnestad, apparently because of some communication problems, without him ever having his official debut for the team. "They understood like zero words in Norwegian (don't know how they don't understand the language since it is almost the same as Swedish and I understand it well enough)," Magnestad told GotFrag.com. "However, it is true that they didn't understand me when I talked in Norwegian (except Emil "HeatoN" Christensen). "I guess my way of playing didn't completely match theirs either." By the time of his addition, Magnestad signed a trial contract, which would be renewed and become effective shortly before Dreamhack, if everything worked out. ![]() After this period, Magnestad will become a free agent. He plans on attending the Norwegian WCG qualifier in April with the local squad Synergy Gaming, which have in their ranks Thomas "r00fz" Sandvik, former team mate of Magnestad in wNv.Europe. "After that tournament, I just hope I get some good offers. The only bad things about Norwegian teams is that they do not like to travel to attend anything so they make up 100 excuses." Magnestad, along with Björn "Bullen" Wall, were the removed players from NiP. According to the organisation, Wall failed to impress the team. However, Magnestad praised the former spiXel talent's perfomances but said not to know whether or not he will continue playing. "I hope Bullen doesn't stop playing. I have no clue at all why he had to leave since in my opinion he was the best. I haven't talked to him since we got kicked, though, so I do not know his plans." Despite his early dropout from NiP, Magnestad confessed not to regret his choice to join the Swedish squad. "I would do it again, anytime. It is the best organisation I have ever seen and heard about. I personaly liked the CEO (Andreas) and Emil the most, those were the people I really had a good relationship with. "The only sad thing is that I didn't get the chance to show myself at any events or official matches." |

prb or xione.
there ya go!
i think they should keep their lineup as it is today..
GL in the future kf3 :)
Makes sense that heaton could understand him since he played with Xeqrt and Element for a long time. Kf3's talk about bullen really surprised me. Its nice he showed some respect to him and said that. That statement just shows NiP wants to win as soon as possible since Tent and face are at the TOP of there game where bullen isnt back to it yet. I also Figured that Kf3 would goto Synergy, hope he stays there or goes to either Crucial Zone or GamingORB
best of luck
Personally i hope he stays along with Synergy. A higher underrated team takes time to find. Just hope they can prove themselfs outside of norway. Synergy got some hot players (syrtekz, r00fz, drei) which have yet to attend a tournament outside norway(except for r00fz in Aftermath/Wnv). With kf3 in the lineup im positive that they will be more than noticed in the figure of results.
as the matter of communication issues i seriously don't see how that can be a that big of a issue, a norwegian can speak sweedish if he wants and a sweede can speak norwegian if he wants. Only difference that would make an "real" impact is getting used to spot-names.
imo it's NiP's simple way to get the best while they still can, they spotted kf3 pretty early on and grabbed him, then they see the new begrip taking denmark by storm and suddenly goes "hey, that guy is even better, lets get him!"
(remember the "imo")
Join mYm and kick element would be my advice.
#21 "With kf3 in the lineup im positive that they will be more than noticed in the figure of results. " Yea yea sure sure...
#32 There is zero (mark: ZERO) issues going to "straight-norwegian-nonaccent" from any other accent, and even so sweedish is not much of a difference.
#32 Word.
but the swedish one isn t bad too
väldigt svårt att förstå vad han menade och det är inte direkt det första man vill börja tänka på i en tight situation på en viktigt match så vi märkte detta ganska tidigt när vi lirade och förstod att detta inte skulle fungera i längden, förklarade HeatoN."
In english: "KF3 spoke norwegian with a thick dialect, so it was hard to understand him and that's not what you want to be thinking about in a tight situation in an important match, so we became aware of this quite early when we practiced and realised that it wouldn't work out in the long run, explained HeatoN."
I hope KF3 gets a solid team, if only the "old" guys could come back then we would have two top norwegians teams.
