Double elimination play continues in the final day of the Buy.com CS 1.6 Tournament. Another point of interest was iDemise’s road to the elite eight of bracket play. Never wanting to disappoint the crowd, iD felt that the razor thin win over Gamers United 22-20 in overtime would best be followed by a second match that would go into overtime, this time facing x3o. While Jame^s and Co. finally dispatched them in the thirty-fifth round you have to give iD an A for effort. After the first two rounds of single elimination the tournament entered standard double elimination play. The list of teams was fairly predictable from the start, featuring the likes of Pandemic, Netfragz, x3o, Turmoil and iD among others. Five of the top six seeds made it into this stage of play. Backfire and Nocturnal were knocked down to lower bracket play in round three and will be fighting if they want to stay near the money. In what truly became a fight for them, Cyber Gamerz crawled into this group from a dismal 23rd seeding and truly earned a spot here, a tough loss to Turmoil however seems a predictor for Sunday’s match for them. Be sure to tune in as GotFrag brings you the latest in HLTV and scorebot updates as soon as they become available. Buy.com CS 1.6 Finals
