Counter-Strike: JMC adds Dominator

JaX Money Crew has announced the release of Shawn "Des1re" Khan, and the addition of Josh "Dominator" Sievers as his replacement.
After a year of service with the JMC organization, it was officially announced today that Khan has been released from the team. Throughout his stay, Khan has led JMC to an Intel Extreme Masters victory, an ESWC birth, and to an 8th place finish at CPL Winter 2006. Despite these accomplishments in CS 1.6, the team has not been nearly as successful in the Counter-Strike:Source department.

The switch to Source was not easy for the team, and they have struggled. As JMC owner Alex "JaX" Conroy goes on to state, the players needed a change to become more effective as a team in this new game.

"The results the team had during their first Source season were not acceptable to myself, or to the players themselves. Due to the recent results we felt as if Shawn's leadership style was not meshing as well in Source as it had in 1.6. It takes an increased level of dedication to be successful in a new game and we felt in order for that dedication to be achieved, a change needed to be made."

With the removal of Khan from the team, former team leader David "zid" Chin will be stepping up to retake his old position. Chin was the in-game leader for JMC back at CPL Winter 2005, where the team achieved a third place finish and was the top-placing North American team. Along with Chin's promotion also comes the addition of Sievers as their fifth player.

After parting ways with Team 3D earlier this year, Sievers has seen short stays with a couple different teams; first with team zEx, and then with CS:S team EF Gaming. Despite being unable to find a suitable organization, Conroy feels confident that Sievers will easily mesh in with the players on the team.

"After speaking with him I feel that his attitude and goals are in line with what this organization aims to accomplish this year. I've had the pleasure of meeting Josh on a few occasions and I am confident he will fit in well with the team, both in and out of game."

Along with this announcement, it was also revealed that JMC will be focusing primarily on Source for the time being. With no 1.6 tournaments in the near future, Conroy cited that although the team will not drop out from 1.6 competition, the majority of their practice time will now be dedicated solely to Source.

With these roster changes, JMC's lineup now consists of:
United States David "zid" Chin
United States Derek "exodus" Heidinger
United States Kevin "aZn" Wang
United States Corey Hanes
United States Josh "dominator" Sievers
