Counter-Strike: pxr leaves Gamers.nu - faken removed

By: Luis Mira - Published April 19, 2007 at 7:52 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Gamers.nu sees today the departure of two influential members, Kristoffer "faken" Andersson and Niklas "pxr" Holtäng.
The Swedish team was seen yesterday playing for the EuroCup with Henrik "mezzo" Lundberg acting as the team's fifth, replacing Kristoffer "faken" Andersson in the match against the British squad 4Kings.

Apparently, by the time of the match, Andersson was not online and his team mates found themselves unable to reach the Swedish talent, which is why the Lundberg option came up.

Such fact disturbed the environment of the team and led to the departure of Holtäng and the removal of Andersson.

"We didn't play often so our motivation wasn't that good, that was the start," Adam "adde" Sundlöv told GotFrag.com.

"When we were going to play against 4Kings, faken did not show up and none of us had a clue where he could be, he didn't call us or anything. Faken had done this before but never during an official game.

"That was it for pxr, he was very angry and disappointed so he decided to leave. When Coyote [head administrator of Gamers.nu] found out that faken wasn't here he decided to kick him."

Gamers.nu has now only three players left. The team is already scouring the market for new players to fill the last two slots, in order to play the remaining EuroCup games.

Gamers.nu has now the following roster:

Sweden Mathias "seAzon" Clausen
Sweden Adam "adde" Sundlöv
Sweden Erik "zeki" Mattsson
