eSTRO, LaVega, MaveN and RnG make up four teams competing in the Korean Counter-Strike League Elite season one.
Four of the best teams in Korea will compete in one of the first ever Korean Counter-Strike leagues, the KCSL. These four will be joined later by two additional two teams that qualified via the KSCL Open division. Each team will play one another twice, totaling twelve matches over the next week.
Among these teams include eSTRO, formerly known as Project_kr and Hacker.Project. This team needs no introduction as they have attended multiple WEG events with very impressive results including a second place at WEG 3 and fourth at WEG Masters. More recently, they attended the CPL 2006 Championship Finals placing a respectable sixth. LaVega Gaming attended the recent CPL tournament along with eSTRO but had to use a ringer due to VISA issues. LaVega did make it past stage one of group play in Dallas, but losses to x3o and Flow in stage two ended their run.
MaveN, compared to the two previously mentioned, are least known but consist of a very good roster that includes the likes of fox and geon. This team has also placed in the top 4 at three Korean CS qualifiers. They showed their potential by defeating Lunatic-hai in their opening match of the season by a score of 17-13. Run n Gun was the latest addition to the league replacing Lunatic-hai after who needed to drop out due to a busy work and school schedule. Unfortunately, RnG has struggled so far losing their first three games.
