New York City– May 18, 2007 – The World Series of Video Games Presented by Intel (WSVG) today announced that CEVO (CyberEvolution) will be holding online qualifiers for the Louisville, Kentucky WSVG stop on May 30 – June 3, 2007 and the Dallas, Texas WSVG stop on June 13 – Jun 17, 2007.

Registration for the first online qualifier will be held on the CEVO website and opens on Monday May 21st @ 8:00pm CST. These online qualifiers are FREE of charge and will play host to the first sixty four (64) registered players / teams depending on the game title.

The Louisville, Kentucky online qualifiers will be for “Counter-Strike 1.6” and “Quake 4”. The top two teams from the “Counter-Strike 1.6” and the top two players from the “Quake 4” online qualifiers will then earn the ninth and tenth seeded spots, respectively, for the WSVG Louisville Event on June 21 – 24, 2007.

The Dallas, Texas online qualifiers will be for “Call of Duty 2” and “Quake 4”. Again, the top two teams from “Call of Duty 2” and the top two players from “Quake 4” will earn ninth and tenth seeded spots, respectively, for the WSVG Dallas Event on July 5 – 8, 2007.

Registration for the second online qualifier will be held on the CEVO website and will open on Monday June 4th @ 8:00pm CST. These online qualifiers are FREE of charge and will play host to the first sixty four (64) registered players / teams depending on the game title.

Each competition will follow the same structure; there will be sixty-four teams in each location (North America and Europe) with standard double- elimination bracket qualifiers. CEVO rules will apply for all matches in North America, and ESL rules will apply in Europe. Registration and brackets will be handled by the online leagues.
