Female gaming team, Burntpink, joins Team EG.
EG Press Release - Today, Team EG is happy to welcome five new faces to our family. It’s a well-known fact that EG rarely ventures into recruiting entirely new gaming divisions, except for when truly special opportunities present themselves. This is certainly one of those occasions. Over the past several years, team burntpink have proven themselves on a consistent basis to be of exceptional caliber in the field of female Counter-Strike. Their lineup, which can be found below, has achieved high placements at numerous LAN tournaments, including the Web2Zone Female Invitational in New York City and last year’s ESWC Grand Finals in Paris. Additionally, burntpink is the highest-placing female Counter-Strike team in CEVO history, having made the CEVO-IM playoffs on multiple occasions. The lineup hopes to be accepted into CEVO-M for this upcoming season.

"I've always been a supporter of female gaming teams,” remarked Alex Garfield, Executive Director of Team EG. “Obviously, even in the female gaming community, people have varying political opinions on the concept of female gaming teams and the existence of tournaments separated by gender; but I have always believed in the idea. Last year, I was proud to help GX3 become part of the SK organization, and in the present, I am even more excited to welcome burntpink into the EG organization. Burntpink have shown strong character and skill on an extremely consistent basis over the past several years, and they're also some of the most well-tenured and popularly recognized female CS names in the North American community. Team EG and Intel are very happy to welcome them aboard."

“It’s a dream come true to join EG,” said Jess Meier, Captain of Burntpink. “We’re looking forward to showing what we can do under the EG name, especially with the added boost of Intel’s Core 2 processors.”

Burntpink becomes Team EG Girls Counter-Strike effective immediately, and will be representing EG at ESWC Canada this June. EG Girls will strive to gain the right to represent Canada at the ESWC Grand Finals in Paris for the second year in a row.
