According to ProPlay.ru, Aleksey "HEL1" Novikov and Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov have been removed from the Counter-Strike squad. Novikov joined the team in March 2006, while Kochugov was part of the Virtus.Pro roster for several years. This decision turns the two gamers into free agents. This news comes right after the ESWC qualifier, where the Russian team, despite having secured qualification, lost to Begrip Gaming in the Grand Final. The changes leave Virtus.Pro with three players less than one month before the ESWC Finals. The Russian squad has confirmed that it will attend the event with the team's coach, Konstantin "groove" Pikiner, while the last player is yet to be announced. Nevertheless, it is reported that Alexandre "KALbI4" Gribov is one of the team's options for the last spot and that he is already practicing with Virtus.Pro. Virtus.Pro has now the following roster: Alexey "LeX" Kolesnikov Viktor "Sally" Filimonchenko Roman "ROMJkE" Makarov |

Alexey "LeX" Kolesnikov

"Virtus pro welcomes dingo to the team"
lex, sally, romjke, groove + ?
(Aleksey k. - Viktor F. - Roman M. - Konstantin P. + 1)
Sucks about releasing both the players, but hopefully this can light a fire under them again. [Hopes]
btw, it's a very bad move for Virtus as they are losing two of their key players and even their strat caller.
A real shame. I dont know how they're going to replace them with a buncha no name russians.
Not impressed with Romjke.
hope this is a good joke =/
(reposted :P)
hope to see him on a new team soon
As long as they have Lex theyll still be a strong team but losing those two players will deffinitly hurt them
I do oppose this phenomena. It must be weaken the level of couter-strike!
for exp, COL,NIP,SK,WNV~ WHAT THE FK CHANGE! the level of CS now is so FK low!
the 2 are the best players in the teams

Haven't said that all, you people should stop whining. This is the last thing, that you can do, but by the looks of it, you guys are pretty good at it. =/ Of course it's much easier to say, "Ohh, Virtus are done for good now" and blah blah blah. Instead, try to show some support.
Best of luck to Virtus.pro with the search for new players and most importanly in Paris!
