Counter-Strike: Virtus.Pro removes HEL1, F_1N

According to ProPlay.ru, Aleksey "HEL1" Novikov and Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov have been removed from the Counter-Strike squad.

The Russian players were removed from Virtus.Pro due to an internal quarrel whose reasons the management decided not to unveil.

Novikov joined the team in March 2006, while Kochugov was part of the Virtus.Pro roster for several years. This decision turns the two gamers into free agents.

This news comes right after the ESWC qualifier, where the Russian team, despite having secured qualification, lost to Begrip Gaming in the Grand Final.

The changes leave Virtus.Pro with three players less than one month before the ESWC Finals. The Russian squad has confirmed that it will attend the event with the team's coach, Konstantin "groove" Pikiner, while the last player is yet to be announced.

Nevertheless, it is reported that Alexandre "KALbI4" Gribov is one of the team's options for the last spot and that he is already practicing with Virtus.Pro.

Virtus.Pro has now the following roster:

KALbI4 man.. It was an honor to watch this dude play. [havent seen him play in years.] [M19 days] Wonder how hell pan out if they do decide to go with him.

Sucks about releasing both the players, but hopefully this can light a fire under them again. [Hopes]

btw, it's a very bad move for Virtus as they are losing two of their key players and even their strat caller.

Awful. HEL1 carried them at WEG and is a great player. Same with Johan.

A real shame. I dont know how they're going to replace them with a buncha no name russians.

#16 1st kalbi4 is not a nonamed russian he has a WCG title under hes belt with the m19 team second he plays very good and hes not even get inactive since they won wcg 2002 he plays cs every single day second romjke is not even close to what he could do he needs time to adapt second loosing F_1N and HEL1 is the worts that could happen to VP second groove hasnt touched cs in a high level since he became couch of VP i thing VP made a big mistake i dont see any one who could fill the missing link maybe Mosk or a player who played for vp in the past and now hes free agent i mena foont ;) the kid is sick and he needs some one to give him the chance lets w8 and see what will happen but groove for eswc it would be lame ..... no that he was bad in the past but i think hes no what he used to be ... i hope vp find some raw aim people cuz if they dont i dont see them wining even 1 match @eswc F_1N the best rifler after aleksey

groove returning would be awesome, but the tatical core was groove + johan, lex boris sally doing the fragging, they removed their second best at the time, sally, then removed groove, making virtus lose a lot at awping (yeah, snoop pwns but lets not compare LeX + sally on same team), sure hooch was ok, HEL1 was amazing, but sally came back and team started being amazing again, if not so tatical as before... then they loose snoop, their second most consistant player (LeX > all :P not being biased) and put in romjke, who's good, but like hooch, not THAT good for virtus, and now they remove johan and kill the team entirely? might as well remove LeX too and declare the end of virtus or whatever :P

As long as they have Lex theyll still be a strong team but losing those two players will deffinitly hurt them

overall i think it's a good move, because virtus pro didn't win anything this year. They are losing to begrip allmost all the time...

I really don't understand, why do you people say that it's the end of Virtus.pro or that they removed 2 of their best players? In Virtus.pro every single player was carrying the same amount of weight on himself. When it was needed, at any given time ANYONE of them could step up and turn the whole match around. On the positive note, they still have LeX, who's just amazing and the Sally, who's really good as well. Both of them are always very experienced international players. ROMJkE might be lacking international experience, but, he has the raw skill that Virtus.pro needs at the moment. Groove on the other hand might not have the highest skill level, but i don't think there's anyone or there's only a very few players in the Russian scene, who can match the level of international experience that he has. And this is what counts the most, being able to play well under high pressure. Picking up KALbI4 could be a very good move. Considering he has a tremendous international experience and his ability to handle awp doesn't need any introduction. The only thing, that going to hurt the team is lack of time for preparation. Groove would have to do some magic and try to "click" them all together.

Haven't said that all, you people should stop whining. This is the last thing, that you can do, but by the looks of it, you guys are pretty good at it. =/ Of course it's much easier to say, "Ohh, Virtus are done for good now" and blah blah blah. Instead, try to show some support.

KALbI4 is a classic pro player. His old team "M19" was one of the most known back in 2002-2003. That was when they won WCG I think... Anyways, let's see what's gonna be...
