Counter-Strike: Dimension4 and webOne merge

Two major actors of the French scene have announced a merging as the CS:Source, TrackMania and Quake divisions of webOne will now be playing under the D4 tag.
Wednesday June the 27th, webOne and Dimension4, two major actors of the French e-sports scene, announce that their structures will merge to play under the unified tag of Dimension4 as the CS:Source, Quake and Trackmania Nations sections of webOne will join the CS and WOW sections of D4.

Former webOne Manager, and the new D4 Gaming Sections Manager Grégory "DraGon" Vidal had this to say concerning the operation: "w1 and D4 are both 2 important players of the French scene with complementary gaming sections. We do not have teams that are competing on the same game and both structures have achieved a lot at the national and international level. This merging aims to set the basis for one of the most important gaming organizations in France, with the human, material and financial assets required to attain a high level of professionalism for the French esports "

webOne.CS won the ESWC qualifiers in 2006, and placed top 9-12 with a team that would later join the ranks of aAa. It has also placed 5th at the Gamegune 2006, but the biggest achievement would be the world championship title for Trackmania at the ESWC 2006. Webone.CS:S have finished 4th at the Gamers assembly, and won the Qcup lan79, Shoklan and PxL Bco 9.

Dimension4 latest achievements would be their fifth place that the CPL Italy, and their victory at the Gamers Assembly 2007.

D4 therefore acquire the services of one of the top French CS:S teams, as well as the ESWC 2006 Trackmania nations champion Dorian "Carl" Vallet.
