G3nerationx has confirmed it will not attend the ESWC tournament this week due to financial problems. Due to the winner of the Brazilian qualifier being the only one whose expenses were paid by the local committee, g3x and LAN-Sports - Exotic would have to pay all the necessary expenses, a decision that made Wilton “zews” Prado of LS - Exotic not attend the event as GotFrag reported. G3x engaged in talks with its sponsors in order to know whether or not they could support the team with the expenses, a possibility that was denied by its partners. "Unfortunately, due to the high prices of the Brazil-France tickets, the high season we're in and the short period we had to have these expenses paid, the g3nerationX team will not participate in the ESWC 2007," g3x said in the official press-release. The g3x squad will now begin a short vacation period, after which it will begin practicing for the WCG 2007, something that will happen later this month. |

Anyways this is a shame, g3x is a very talented team, they are on par with MiBr in my opinion. MiBr just edges them out a little.

Man you Brazillians take everything said here in a wrong way. #8 meant poor as in the sympathetic way that a qualified team are unable to go, not literally poor.
I don't think ESWC will invite any teams, there were already a few missing teams (due to the same reason as g3x) but did not do anything to fill them up.

praticamente só o mibr é reconhecido fora do brasil, sendo que temos mais talentos do cs, além de apenas 5 integrantes do mibr.

G3x lose a Great change to show their skills in a international tournament, I just think it's insane,they didn't know what they're missing....I'd enjoy to see more than mibr showing Brazilian skills, creating a good name of our country, I'm mibr fan for sure, but I want to see more clans than only 5 players of mibr, then all world could know that we have a strong name also in e-sport, not only in soccer(Ronaldinho,Pelé etc..).
In sweden have more than 1 clan strong winning and creating a name.(Nip,Sk,Fnatic,Begrip)
I'm waiting for a Brazilian e-sports have more than 1 clan of counter strike enjoying success.

for me it's ok. g3x.intel can go back to brazil and start winning it all over here with average teams, while mibr is in europe traveling and playin in a top level with world class teams. its a catch22 ... lmao
They need invite Logitech.fi (no SK, coz sweden have already 3 teams in ESWC and that is too much)...
