Counter-Strike: sioK agrees x6tence move

By: Luis Mira - Published July 04, 2007 at 9:49 AM EDT - Writer Archive
José Adrián "sioK" Rodríguez will be the fifth x6tence member during ESWC 2007.
The Spanish player still had six months ahead of him in redCode, but with an offer from x6tence on the table, he decided to change teams.

Although x6tence confirmed yesterday that the negotiations between both organisations had been resumed, redCode belives Rodríguez is interested in breaching the contract.

Rodríguez had in his contract a release clause of 6000€, but the Spanish organisation admits it was negotiating his transfer with x6tence for a lower value.

"We were demanding a fee for Rodríguez because it so hard for us to remake our team every time x6tence decides to do the same," Alfredo "Neider" Alamar, Global Manager in redCode, told GotFrag.com.

However, redCode says x6tence's offer was unrealistic and that the two parties couldn't reach an agreement.

Alamar confirms Rodríguez is already in France and that he will be x6tence's fifth player during the ESWC event, which will make redCode proceed with legal actions against the Spanish talent.

Alamar added: "We have lawyers, so all our contracts are 100% legal, at least in Spain."

This said, x6tence will participate in the ESWC 2007 tournament with the following roster:

Spain Jose "DrastyK" Blasco
Spain David "DeyF" Arroyo
Spain Antonio "FlipiN" Rivas
Spain David "r1bera" Antón
Spain José Adrián "sioK" Rodríguez
