The winds of change have once again swept through the Mousesports organization, as today it was announced that Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel and Tim "silver" Hochgrebe are no longer part of the Counter-Strike 1.6 squad. Taking their place will be Antonio "Cyx" Daniloski and Fatih "gob b" Dayik, both formerly of Frankfurts-Finest. Dayik was also seen competing for ID Gaming at ESWC, due to that team being a man shy after the departure of Andre "nooky" Utesch.

The move will not come as a shock to some, as Mouz has consistently failed to achieve the lofty heights most expected of them after re-tooling the lineup at the beginning of the year, when they imported 3 former members of perennial rivals Alternate aTTax. Most recently, Mouseports finished fourth at WSVG Louisville and before that, took second place in the EPS X finals, after dropping two maps to aTTax. This past weekend, their performance at ESWC -- where they did not get past the first group stage -- was a catalyst for drastic action in the team.

With this move, Mouz now has only one rostered player who was with the team in 2006, Franz "gore" Burghardt. Chmiel was with the team for several years, and his dismissal comes as more of a surprise than does Hochgrebe's, who was part of Mouz for only six months. Reasons for the changes have not yet been given. The future plans of Chmiel and Hochgrebe are also unknown at this time.

Until last month, Frankfurts-Finest was competing under the name 360eSports in EPS, in which they finished fourth after a stellar season. After their contracts with 360eSports expired, the team decided to seek another organization.

When I though about mouz making changes I knew blizzard would be let go. His skill has just deminished alot. The other, and I hate to say it, was gore. Mostly because of his age and the fact that he isnt german. I though mouz would replace him and pick up a german player so they could just send that lineup to WCG(I guess my assumption was kind of right since blizzard is staying on as the 6th player)

mouz.Silver was defenitly not the same as attax|silver ... the drop in play was just night and day. Maybe it was the enviornment within attax that helped his play who knows but he didnt play anywhere near what he was capable of in mouz.

cyx is a great talent but i dont know if he is ready for the international stage.

Anyway, I think it's a really smart move, and that if tixo doesn't improve he should be replaced too.

gob b is an extremely talented player. very good gamereader and a madfragger as well.
cyx: just some fragging-machine. 16 years old and very talented too. is also able to play a deadly awp.

mouz destroys every good player by picking him up. Remember all the players, that had went crazy in matches befor they played for mouz (e.g. flecks, silver, ...).

I personally like blizzard and silver. Just because i am an old aTTaX fanboy i wanna see silver return to aTTaX. CHEF-KOCH mooN silver paN roman :P . I wouldnt mind seeing Blizzard on aTTaX to.

gonna take a while to see if these 2 can compete internationally, losing silver and blizzard is losing alot of international experiance and individual skill :/

Well in my opinion Kapio is the only player in mouz that is really good, he often carries the entire team and is the guy that can win the important clutch rounds for mouz. The rest are somewhat "mediocre" if you compare them to the top teams (I'm talking top 5 here), let's hope these new recruits can make a difference, although I highly doubt it.

#2 it would make no sense to cut gore. he's the only one who did anything at wsvg and eswc. kapio did alright, but gore actually played like he was on a world class team.

#38 I had no idea who ins was before NiP picked him up. Mouz is trying to pull a NiP/MiBR, really talented young players mixed with an experienced fragger calling (i.e. walle/cogu for Mouz kapio). It can't possibly be worse than before.
