Counter-Strike: Dignitas signs AdY

Dignitas has confirmed the signing of Adam "AdY" Brown.
The former 4Kings talent became a free agent in late June to focus on DOTA, but has wasted little time in getting fixed up with a new Counter-Strike team.

The British team finished 9-12th at the ESWC tournament, having defeated teams like TR.victory or emuLate and only losing the qualification for the bracket stage to NiP because of round difference.

Despite this result, Dignitas was always on the lookout for Brown, and when he decided to return to the main stages, the British squad was quick to lure him to the squad, replacing Jim “Mx” Smale.

"We felt after wez said he couldn't play anymore that we would only get Mx as a replacement, he was an absolutely amazing replacement and we love him and couldn't thank him anywhere near enough," Luke "KritikaL" Green told GotFrag.com.

"However, looking back when wez left, AdY was our first choice but he remained in 4Kings instead and now he wanted to join us and we let him, which will hopefully make us progress a lot."

Green admits he is delighted for Dignitas to have landed such a talented player.

"Adam is an absolute top class player, (...) some of the stuff he does is simply amazing, he also brings a whole new way of thinking to our game," he said.

"4Kings' style was a lot safer and slower than our own, we enjoy rushing places and fragging, Adam can do that but he also brings ideas about how to make stuff safer. He is generally just an awesome player."

Dignitas will attend the GameGune LAN event this month, where the team hopes to do better than in France.

"Looking at the ESWC tournament, we came 9-12th, which I think was good, but we obviously we want to increase I think 5-8th would be awesome, anything higher would be insane, but stranger things have happened," Green added.

Dignitas has now the following roster:

United Kingdom Luke "KritikaL" Green
United Kingdom Sam "RattlesnK" Gawn
United Kingdom James "wilzOOO" Wilson
United Kingdom Pete "Reality" Wright
United Kingdom Adam "AdY" Brown
