Counter-Strike: b4d, chrizzo make mTw exit

By: Luis Mira - Published July 12, 2007 at 11:37 AM EDT - Writer Archive
Following a drought of good results, mTw confirms the departures of Christoph "chrizzo" Krämer and Bastian "b4d" Gaffron.
The German team failed to impress in the EPS league, having sit in the fifth spot by the end of the regular season, therefore missing its main goal, the EPS Finals.

In the local ESWC qualifier, mTw finished fourth after losing to ID Gaming in the Lower Bracket Final.

Both Krämer and Gaffron have been allowed to leave the team as they are not part of the squad's starting five anymore.

The German team is now on the lookout for reinforcements to replace these names and is keen to return to the top flight.

"We didn't get to the EPS finals, so we didn't reach our goal," Markus "botman" Frey, manager in mTw, told GotFrag.com. "Following the ESWC qualifier, we decided to change the team.

"We spoke with all the players and after that, we decided to remove Bastian and Christoph.

"The team didn't have the spirit that every squad needs to have to be successful."

MTw has already opened talks with new players although nothing has been decided. Nonetheless, they are expected to put pen to paper on a deal with mTw and link up with their new team-mates during the upcoming pre-season days.

This said, mTw has now the following roster:

Germany Nils "bara" Waldowski
Austria Thomas "uLTi" Teissl
Austria Michael "PapsT" Schmid
