Counter-Strike: ID Gaming presents new team

By: Luis Mira - Published July 15, 2007 at 3:40 PM EDT - Writer Archive
ID Gaming has confirmed the new team for the upcoming season.
GotFrag reported earlier this month the departure of Andre "nooky" Utesch from ID Gaming due to the recent lack of first-rate results which made the team sit in the seventh place by the end of the EPS season.

ID Gaming has confirmed the recent reports suggesting the inactivity of both Bodo "Bodo" Sbrzesny and Christopher "Fragmaster" Kolla, who plan on focusing on Poker and studies, respectively.

Hannes "Hanso" Dunkel, who had joined ID Gaming in late January, also abandons the team, although his reasons were not made public. This move ends Dunkel's six-month association with ID after coming from Team64.AMD.

In order to replace these names, ID Gaming engaged in talks with Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel and Tim "silver" Hochgrebe, who saw their names removed from the mouz lineup three days ago.

Alexander "XaVe" Ackenhausen, who was under a deal with competo sports, has now put pen to paper on a deal with ID Gaming.

Alexander "bundy" Huntenburg, Global Manager in Competo Sports, admits this to be a sad moment for the team but stresses that he is already looking for a new player.

The last player to join is Witali "nuY" Martin, who played last season for pod.hama and helped his team reach the bronze in the EPS Finals.

Hochgrebe is happy to have joined such a talented group and believes the team to have the necessary conditions to scale great heights in the future.

"It makes me happy to have once again upcoming talents to work with, just like it happened with aTTaX before, I hope we have a good team that will grow in the future," he said.

ID Gaming has now the following roster:

Germany Christian "todi" Hackmann
Germany Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel
Germany Tim "silver" Hochgrebe
Germany Alexander "XaVe" Ackenhausen
Germany Witali "nuY" Martin
