Counter-Strike: GameGune 2007 CS Day 3 Melee

By: Luis Mira - Published July 21, 2007 at 9:49 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Day three of GameGune 2007 is now upon us, with only eight teams left fighting for all the glory.
Day two saw twenty-four teams being inserted in a double bracket system where there is always little room for mistakes. SK Gaming lost to ZYKON in the Lower Bracket and was sent back home early in the tournament, achieving a mere 13-16th placing.

Logitech.fi was able to come out on top in the Finnish clash against 69°N-28°E, avenging itself for the defeat they had to endure in the NGL ONE competition this week.

Made in Brazil comes into the Upper Final on the back of a 16-2 thrashing of PGSPokerStrategy.cc in their Semifinals game and is now waiting for the winner of the match between emuLate and fnatic.

In the Lower Bracket, ZYKON will face Ideal Gaming in a match between two teams that have impressed so far. The other game will put face to face Begrip Gaming, who was able to knock Meet Your Makers out of the tournament, and Logitech.fi.

Begrip Gaming is eager to prove it belongs to the world's best, following a poor run in the ESWC event, while the Finnish side is ready to risk everything in a bid to reach the Semifinals.
