Changes to one of the world's top teams brings a lesser known talent to the spotlight. When he joined the roster back in February of this year Joona contributed to a roster that saw its fair share of success in 2007. Taking home 1st place finishes at both NGL and WSVG Louisville, alongside a 4th place spot at SEC, Leppänen was a crucial component of the teams hot streak. However, after recent weak performances at ESWC as well as GameGune and due to a lack of availability resulting in difficulty practicing, his team felt it was time to make a change. Teammate Tomi “lurppis” Kovanen elaborates - “We removed natu because he doesn't have as much time to commit to CS as the rest of us and we want to be sure to be on top of our game for the remaining big 1.6 tournaments” Tomi continues, citing drive and determination as a forefront attribute that made Aalto attractive to the roster – “He is an incredible fragger and an all-around great player. His relatively short time in the top tier of competition gives him a strong drive to win, and I think with him on board we will undoubtedly exceed all expectations in our upcoming competitions.“ Samu's accomplishments include playing with 69N-28E's local rivals, Logitech.fi, where he took a respectable placing of 4th at Gamegune 2007, as well as twin 7th place finishes in SHG and ESL Masters. Coincidently, he rang for Serious Gaming for the EWSC 2006 Finnish qualifiers where he played alongside his new teammates lurppis and naSu. Besides his history and talent, Aalto is a long time friend of the team. When all is said and done, the real test will be if this addition can bring to the team the focus they have lost. In terms of practice and preparation they have until October when 69N-28E will be competing in Seattle for the WCG World Finals. Why is everyone changing their roster :/
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I completely agree with you, but he is calling strats ))
plaste is a great player, no doubt about that ))
one thing though I thought plaste stood infor nasu at the ESWC qualifiers because nasu wasnt old enough?
but we all know the real reason natu was cut was because he was the #1 seed at the finish qtour aim tourny and lost in the first round! where as plaste won it beating ruuit, lurppis, and nasu! ITS A FEAR RECRUITMENT!
#20 Lurrpis can be an average fragger at times but just about every team needs a guy like him, someone who can concentrate wholey on tactics and rather tie up his end of the fragging then go nuts. Ive never played at a world level but i know an excellent caller/tactician alone can win 3 - 4 rounds in a game.
Overall they should be much better having 5 players on the same page.
I MEAN ROSTER CHANGES ALWAYS FIX THINGS, ASK SK THEY SHOULD KNOW.
Think yourself in a situation where you´ve got great friends, a girlfriend and loads of things to do on your evenings. You decide to pass up on everything and go home for CS practice because that is what we are expected to do. After half of a side the practice is literally no point at all and people are running around and doing whatever they feel. Eventually you rather choose to spend your time with your loved ones doing things you like instead of wasting your time doing nothing productive.
I do hope mr. Aalto has a magical touch which is going to change the attitude and make miracles happen because it sure as heck isn't this simple.
enjoy life natu and even without practice you're still one of the best in Finland. now joing Logitech?
But meh, not much to say. Just... Practice. It's easy money, if you throw that away because you don't want to practice then get a real job for a month and see if that brings back your moral for practice..
This wont change things =<
Good Luck.
gl to natu and the team
nice pick up from logitech tho... but who did logitech picked up?
