Held at the Newbury Racecourse and Conference centre, the British Counter-Strike qualifier will be a four-team tournament that will use a double elimination system.

Dignitas is the main favourite to grab the qualification. Former 4Kings talent Stuart Harriman will have his LAN debut for Dignitas in this tournament, nothing that seems to harm the form of the 2007 ESWC representative.

This will be a good opportunity to see in action the new 4Kings squad. The former virtuoso team is currently leading the UKPL table and looks forward to this event to show what it can do.

This qualifier marks the return of the former alltherage member Zak "Kardy" Mathew to competition, following a long period of inactivity. Mathew is representing Overtime, a team that will have a tough match against Dignitas for the opening round.

I think Dignitas will probably win. But my support is going to the virt guys at 4kings.

They may not be that big. But its great to see the greater odds winning.

I think the match is just delayed SiL^ is afk in T spawn in HLTV as far as the lower round goes. :s

omfg how did dignitas give this away :o 10-5 win T side inferno, then after pistol win and 2nd round win they drop 8 consecutive rounds and lose 16-14 :/ fkn bad.

I imagine its due to kritical (their caller) leaving. They facing the same problem as sk. Sk havent been performing since snajdan left them.

well atleast cs in the UK is actually pretty equal compared to 4K just dominating the uk scene consistently

I'm wondering if the winning team will have a good seed at this year's WCG as 4Kings had in the past. Anyway, my bet is on 4K... i remember JenuwiN from an ENC game between UK and Romania... damn he was sick :)

Dignitas were so much better with their ESWC line up. Harriman isnt good enough and it seems AdY has lost it.

kinda sums up the uk scene for you..very unprofessional players representing professional organizations..

yesterday oT was waiting on the server for half an hour waiting for dignitas to connect..turns out dignitas were so late because they were switching their tft's for crt;s without anyone knowing..so dignitas got to play on the crt's theyre used whilst ot and 4k had to play on tft's..

lol!

Apparantly WilzOOO couldnt be bothered to get out of bed, and thats why dig were forced to play the first half without him. Pretty horrific.
