Counter-Strike: DigitalMind raids defusekids players

DigitalMind has confirmed deep roster changes in the Counter-Strike team.

The Dutch squad has been looking for new solutions since Tom “tommeh” Nijenhuis and Dennis “muh” van Maurik confirmed their desire to retire from professional gaming.

However, following the poor campaign in the ESWC tournament, where DigitalMind finished in last place in its group, the management decided to have more roster changes in order to scale greater heights in the future.

Mike “trx” Degger and Dennis “seezung” Seesing have been allowed to open negotiations with other teams as they are no longer part of the digitalMind line-up. Both players are expected to continue playing together, this time in a new project.

DigitalMind has agreed deals for Ivan "Apollo" Wuddhisukhum, Yannik "Luce" Bindo and Ferdi "xire" Senel - three players coming from defusekids.

The possibility of playing for an organisation with better conditions was the main reason behind this move, according to Wuddhisukhum.

"DigitalMind is a well-respected team with a solid management and a nice budget to attend international LAN events, something we did not have in defusekids," he said.

"We had the possibility to make one of the best line-ups in Benelux when it comes to skill and experience, that was an opportunity I could not waste."

DigitalMind has also agreed a deal with Nordien "minto" De Jong, who returns to the gaming stages after a period of inactivity.

Despite this fact, DigitalMind manager Nick "vgas" Reys believes De Jong will play a major role in the team.

"Minto has always been a spectacular and amazing player," Reys told GotFrag.com "His close relationship with the Defusekids players made him a logical choice to complete the line-up.

These changes leave defusekids with two players only, Kenneth "ofkeli" Öfkeli and Karel "Bax" Jannes, with Wuddhisukhum revealing that the team will most likely fold again due to Jannes' wish to retire from gaming after the World Cyber Games event.

The new DigitalMind roster should make its official debut in the upcoming KODE5 event in the Netherlands, which will take place in Enschede from October 27th to 28th.

DigitalMind has now the following roster:

Netherlands Roy "r0y" Gerritsen
Netherlands Nordien "minto" De Jong
Netherlands Ferdi "xire" Senel
Belgium Ivan "Apollo" Wuddhisukhum
Belgium Yannik "luce" Bindo
