Counter-Strike: CMAX.gg signs Logitech.fi team

By: Luis Mira - Published August 27, 2007 at 4:47 PM EDT - Writer Archive
CMAX.gg has confirmed Logitech.fi as its new Counter-Strike team.
The Finnish team was looking for a new organisation to play for, following the recent happenings in the organisation, which didn't please the players.

According to Matti "SpikeOne" Jarvinen, the Logitech.fi management failed to support the squad, which resulted in the team not attending some events.

Therefore, the players engaged in talks with several gaming organisations with hopes of finding a better deal, which came courtesy of the Finnish company CMAX.gg.

"The Logitech.fi management was very inactive, so we have had some problems with them for quite some time," Jarvinen told GotFrag.com.

"There were some events we were going to attend like ASUS in Russia and WSVG Louisville, but the manager just ignored us even thought he said he was going to take care of them.

"We barely got to GameGune also, we had to call some big boss of Logitech.fi to pay it since others did not answer us."

The team's first appearance under the new organisation will be the EuroCup LAN Finals, an event where Jarvinen hopes his side can grab the gold.

CMAX.gg has now the following roster:

Finland Antti "Shiri" Makinen
Finland Matti "SpikeOne" Jarvinen
Finland Slaava "Twista" Rasanen
Finland Tino "tihOp" Puumala
Finland Janne "Kuppi" Kuparinen
