EYEballers has announced the signing of Divine Counter-Strike squad.

The Swedish organisation has been linked with a move for a Counter-Strike: 1.6 squad after the release of a teaser suggesting the management's interest in a new squad.

Tom "Nox" Gustafsson, staff member in EYEballers, has been interested in recreating a Counter-Strike team ever since he took charge of EYE's operations.

"Before I entered the organisation, EYE did not have a management, just the gaming center," Gustafsson told GotFrag.com.

"We have been building the organisation for the past four months and we felt it to be natural to have a Counter-Strike: 1.6 male team as well."

Gustafsson is delighted to have guaranteed the former Blank squad and revealed he is looking forward to the prospect of seeing EYE playing on the main gaming stages once again.

"We were looking for a highly skilled team with potential and it was clear that Divine shared the same vision that EYEballers does, it was an easy decision for both parties."

The Swedish team will have its official debut for the EYEballers organisation this weekend, during the KODE5 Sweden event, where it will take on teams like SK Gaming or fnatic.

Meanwhile, Gustafsson announced that the team is expected to attend the Intel Challenge Cup, which will take place at the Crocus Expo in Moscow from September 14-16th.

EYEballers has now the following roster:

Sweden Bjorn "threat" Pers
Sweden Ruben "get!" Hellberg
Sweden Fredrik "JAEGARN" Andersson
Sweden Niklas "Nikolaus" Johansson
Sweden Anders "Rwa" Svensson
