Filip "Neo" Kubski has confirmed the creation of a mix team for the upcoming Intel Challenge Cup 2007.
Former forZe talent Alexey "Overdrive" Birukov had confirmed two weeks ago that he was going to attend the Intel Challenge Cup 2007 event with a mix team composed by two Russian players and three names coming from Sweden.

However, Birukov has now announced changes in the team. Current SK Gaming members Emil "striker" Westerberg and Christer "fisker" Eriksson have been removed from the line-up for undisclosed reasons.

The two players have been replaced by current Ninjas in Pyjamas member Dennis "walle" Wallenberg and the Polish star Filip "NEo" Kubski.

"RobbaN contacted me a week ago and asked me if I wanted to go with him to play in Moscow at the Intel Challenge Cup tournament," Kubski told GotFrag.com.

According to Kubski, PGSPokerStrategy.com refused to participate in the event as it was unable to send the squad to Russia.

Regarding the financial support of this mix team, Kubski said it to come from a source whose name he wished not to reveal.

Despite the team's lack of practice, the Polish international believes his squad to have the potential to mount a serious challenge for the top places.

"We will practice a little bit before the event, but we haven't practiced yet," he said. Still, I think it will be fun to play with such players."

"There would be no point of going there without any goals. We will try to do our best, heading for top 3 I guess."

Kubski's mix team is as follows:

Russia Alexey "Overdrive" Birukov
Russia Vladimir "Tarlund" Perevolockij
Sweden Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström
Sweden Dennis "walle" Wallenberg
Poland Filip "Neo" Kubski
