After a long series of online and offline qualifiers we finally come to the end of the line for the chance to represent the United States at the WCG World Finals in Seattle.

Gathered together in the shadow of roller coasters, water parks, and the Blue Man Group, the top ten U.S. teams face off for that honor. Broken up into two groups for the initial stage of the tournament, Group A features the likes of eMg and x6, who both made it to the finals of CEVO's playoffs last weekend.

Group B houses most notably, x3o and Turmoil. x3o's new lineup is certainly good on paper, but can the roster work as a team well enough to take the event? Turmoil had a disappointing showing online last weekend but their strong point has always been on LAN, if they can bounce back, they will be strong contenders for the top spot.

How many teams from each group make it to the next stage? And #9 x30 have a chance because da bears and sunman are not just good, they might be the best 2 players in the tournament.

turmoil vs check six on LAN is going to be nuts. x3o should be an interesting team, but its going to come down to x6 and turmoil in the end. good luck to derrick and jordan.

The USA had quite good teams over the years.. but it's going down with the upcomming CS:S tournaments, too bad, but I don't think any of these teams could gain a top 3 or top 5 spot in the actual WCG tournament..

x3o EASILY has the lineup to win this tournament but there are many questions that surround them. Have those three players they just picked, da_bears, sunman, and cbz, had enough time to get back into 1.6 or are they a little rusty? Have they had enough time to practice with rockyte and ninespot as a team or are they also a little rusty there? I guess we will find out soon.

I watched them scrim Tuesday night at x3o Lan center where they were boot camping...they looked good and were working and planning things out pretty well.
Guess we will find out for sure tomorrow tho.
