Who will be the next CPL Counter-Strike World Champion? The CPL is pleased to announce an update to the list of Counter-Strike World Champions. The list of Counter-Strike Champions dates back to 2000, when the CPL officially began hosting team-based tournaments. At the upcoming CPL Extreme Winter Championships, which take place December 18-22, the CPL will once again crown a Counter-Strike World Champion, but this time the final competition will take place between a Counter-Strike:Source team and a Counter-Strike 1.6 team.
