The Intel Challenge Cup 2007 event is underway with eight teams left fighting for a first prize of $20,000 USD. This will be the first opportunity for the new Virtus.Pro roster to prove what it can do against big names, after a win in ASUS Summer 2007. Ioan "Edward" Sukhariev has proved a strong figure so far and will strive to help his team grab the gold. Following a second place in the WCG qualifier, Made in Brazil is now in a do or die situation, with Olavo "Chucky" Napoleao being eager to prove his critics wrong. ALTERNATE aTTaX hasn't performed well in recent online events and had in the ESWC tournament its last LAN appearance. Many are looking forward to see the German giant back into the main gaming stages. Moreover, the Intel Challenge Cup 2007 event will be marked by the debut of former 69°N-28°E squad as Team Roccat. The Finnish squad recently added Samu “plastE” Aalto and has high hopes for this event. On the other hand, Begrip Gaming and forZe have failed to impress in recent events and are ready to risk everything in a bid to reach the top places. Intel Challenge Cup 2007 Final Standings 1.
