Counter-Strike: Five with PaTyoJoN

On the final day of the WCG U.S. Finals event, adamm[box] was able to sit down with PaTyoJoN and ask him a few questions about Turmoil's future.

You guys just placed third at the WCG US Finals. What’s next for Turmoil? Are you guys going to think about making the move to source?

Right now we’re really not sure what we’re going to do, but most likely we are going to take a big break and just wait for Kode5. I don’t think any of us really want to play source. If the 1.6 tournaments stop, I think a lot of us will just stop playing.

With Perez dropping out at the last minute, is the team thinking about roster changes?

When we get home we are going to have a big talk about the future of the team so we’ll have to figure out everything when that time comes. It’s just going to depend on the schedule of events and team’s ability to practice in the future.

With keen being the impromptu 5th, were you guys able come together and get focused quickly?

I still think we were the best team here. Keen played great, and we pretty much destroyed anyone we played except eMg. It’s just something with their style of play that we haven’t adapted to yet, but that will change the next time we have to play them.

What do you think were some of the teams’ difficulties during the tournament?

If we were able to play with keen a little more it might have helped, but after the dust2 match with eMg we still thought we were going to win it. One of our problems was losing eco rounds and that happened several times through out the matches, but other than that I felt like we played well.

Do you think if you had more time to prepare, the team would have performed much better and possibly had a spot in the finals?

Most likely, yes. Everyone’s schedules have been mixed up and there aren’t really any teams to practice with. eMg and check-six were the two teams that we knew would be at the top so playing them before the event was pretty much out of the question. The USA scene is lacking top teams so every event is tough to prepare for.

Anything you would like to say to the rest of the community?

Just keep supporting us. We obviously didn’t do our best at this event but keep looking for us in the future.
