Counter-Strike: Convention confirms double deal

By: Luis Mira - Published September 19, 2007 at 2:03 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Team Convention has added two new faces to the Counter-Strike squad.
The Norwegian side was desperate to bring in new players after yesterday's Øyvind "KF3" Magnestad and Matis "noLA" Nygren move to Meet Your Makers.

Convention has agreed terms with former PCPoint members Alexander "alex" Ohr and Lasse "stingeR" Midtstue.

The two players were seeking a bigger challenge and looked at the possibility of representing Convention with keen interest.

"StingeR and I wanted to play in big tournaments and show that we are new talents, we just could not miss this chance," Ohr told GotFrag.com.

Despite the recent loss of two players, Convention believes that the new additions will play a major role in the team

"They are highly motivated players and got that hunger to play, which is one of the main problems in the Counter-Strike scene nowadays," said Thomas "r00fz" Sandvik.

The new roster should have its official debut at the upcoming Convention LAN event, which will take place from October 5-9th in Kristiansund, Norway.

Convention has now the following roster:

Norway Thomas "r00fz" Sandvik
Norway Tor "drei" Haugsnes
Norway Tommy "syrtekz" Skoglund
Norway Alexander "alex" Ohr
Norway Lasse "stingeR" Midtstue
