Counter-Strike: SK raids NiP players

By: Luis Mira - Published September 27, 2007 at 1:03 PM EDT - Writer Archive
SK Gaming has completed the signings of Dennis “walle” Wallenberg and Kristoffer “Tentpole” Nordlund.

The two players arrive at SK Gaming following a wave of reports suggesting the end of the Ninjas in Pyjamas Counter-Strike team.

Nordlund, who had joined the Ninjas in mid-March, has decided to switch teams to join a more stable project.

Wallenberg had been part of the NiP team since June 2005 and has now been granted a chance to represent the SK Gaming squad.

The two players will help fill the void vacated by the departures of Christer "fisker" Eriksson and Emil "striker" Westerberg.

While the former has retired from professional gaming but will remain in SK Gaming as part of the management, the latter has seen his name removed from the team's starting-five and is expected to join a new team in the future.

The new SK Gaming team will have its official debut in today's NGL ONE match against Gravitas Gaming.

SK Gaming has now the following roster:

Sweden Jimmy "Allen" Allén
Sweden Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström
Sweden Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed
Sweden Dennis "walle" Wallenberg
Sweden Kristoffer "Tentpole" Nordlund
